French
Bulldogs. In April of 2004 we went to the AKC dog show in Harrisburg, PA. My husband and I found an adorable little dog; we
are a big dog family. Enter, the french bulldog. A little dog with a big heart. We fell in love. "Josette's Maximum Meltdown"
rules our roost. She's loving, kind, funny,(no wonder they are called frog dogs)great with other dogs, cats, and kids. Next
came Maximus. fawn male with a black mask, born in June of 2005. To learn more about this great little dog and rescue efforts

Chickens.
One of the first things I did when I knew we were going to build our house in Hershey, was to call the code enforcement officer.
We are zoned agriculture so chickens and small animals are permitted. In May I picked up 10 chicks from a local feed store.
Five months to the day our first egg arrived. The neatest thing about my hens is that 2 of them lay light blue eggs. A fun
thing to do was to go on the web and look at chicken coops. I attached a huge Rubbermaid hinged container to the side of my
coop. Having cut a hole in the coop and one in the container, I now have a nesting box big enough for two hens that I can
access from outside of the coop. Last fall we also added a Turkey named Ellie. (Pictures will follow soon.)

Husband. I have a great one. He makes me laugh and indulges me in my every wim. Since I married him,
I have learned to love Chinese food, ride Harleys, and discovered that with him, life is one big adventure. I am truly blessed.
All the animals I have brought home, all the new things I wanted to try, my husband has always been there, supporting me 100%
of the way. He even traveled to Ohio with me to sit in on an APQS Longarm Quilting Machine seminar. Not long after that "The
Quilted Hen" was born. My life is richer, filled with more love and laughter because of him.
