How to prepare a quilt for longarm quilting services.
#1.
All quilts must be square. Take your measurements, at both the top and bottom of your quilt; these should be the same respectfully.
I will not square up quilts, nor should anyone ever cut your quilt to make it square. Fill these numbers in on the quilt
order form.
#2. Make certain that your batting and backing are at least 4" longer on each side or your quilt.
This enables me to attach your quilt properly to the frame. If your backing must be pieced, please do so using a 1/2" seam
allowance.
#3. Please have both the top and the backing pressed. Check the back of the quilt top to make certain
the seams are pressed as you want them quilted.
#4. Cut all loose threads, expecially on a quilt with a lot of
white fabric. If you have a white fabric and a dark sewn together, press to the dark side and make certain that you can not
see any of the dark material from the front.
#5. Send your quilts to me including a copy of the order form.
You might wish to insure your package. If you have done so, please indicate on the form. Sending me an email indicating
a quilt is on the way, will help me to schedule it for quilting.

Once I have received your quilt I will remeasure and examine
it. At this point if I have any concerns I will immediately contact you. Quilts will be done on a first come, first serve
basis.
Once completed your quilt will be removed from the frame and immediately prepared for shipping to you.
I will either email or call you at this time with the final cost of the quilt. I will not cut the extra material or batting
from the edges of the quilt. You will recieve your quilt ready to trim and bind.
When your check has cleared
my bank, or I have received your money order, I will again email you with the date I shipped your quilt.
There
will be a $25.00 service charge for returned checks.
