The Quilted Hen Longarm Quilting
Service
|
|
I love quilts and I love chickens. Both represent to me a link to the past when our mothers or grandmothers
quilted and many homes had a few backyard laying hens.
In this day and age, not many communities allow backyard
flocks, and many quilters do not have the time to hand quilt their creations.
Longarm quilting allows for the completion
of larger projects in a lesser amount of time. Quilters can complete their tops and mail them, along with their batting and
backing to a longarm quilter. The quilt is returned completely quilted with only the binding needing attached. This allows
for more quilts and less UFO's stashed away in a closet.

The following pages will tell you how to prepare
your quilt top, batting, and backing for longarm quilting. I quilt on an APQS Millenium Longarm Machine. The machine has
a stitch-regulator; a great feature for meandering stitching or pantographs. If you have any questions, please feel free
to email or call me. Thank you.
